The Fair Stone Standard encompasses the entire natural stone supply chain – from the quarry or stone processing factory through the exporter to the partner and associated dealer, all the way to the end customer.
Fair Stone Partners are importers who are committed to improving working conditions through significant voluntary engagement. They are responsible for implementing the Fair Stone Standard throughout their supply chain. All Fair Stone Partners are listed with their addresses, links, and registered materials.
Long-term supply relationships between suppliers and partners are important. Suppliers are considered to be the stone processing factories and quarries. These are the ones implementing the measures for the benefit of the workers – out of conviction. This process takes time. Therefore, the system doesn’t work for individual orders. The exporters, through whom the goods are usually shipped to Europe, are also part of the supply chain and support the efforts of the partners and suppliers.
Associate Fair Stone Partners are dealers, stonemasons, and other commercial customers of Fair Stone Partners who wish to support Fair Stone and expand their market position by using the Fair Stone label. They are not importers but are committed to the idea of fair trade.
