Supplier Agreement

Before a factory is registered with Fair Stone, the factory management has to fill out the Supplier
Agreement. Next to general information on the factory and the workers, all materials and products that
are produced in the factory and shall be labelled have to be provided. The factory manager confirms
that all information is correct. He agrees to adhere to ILO Core Labor Conventions and to constantly
improve the working conditions. The veracity of this information is confirmed during the initial
registration audit.

Audits

With Fair Stone BASIC, we have relied exclusively on audits by accredited, trained, and independent
auditors since 2018 to verify annual compliance with the minimum criteria and support the step -by –
step process. Below are some of the mandatory criteria which need to be passed for the audit:

Tracing Fair Stone

With the internet -based software Tracing Fair Stone2/TFS (www.tracing.fairstone.org) each stone can be traced back to the supply chain, either by order number or using the QR code located on each pallet of Fair Stone goods.

Each order which requires FS Labels is entered into the system by the FS Partner and its Suppliers/Exporters. Together they add missing data and update every processing step —from product processing in the factory, through shipping, to the delivery destination.

Logo usage

Only Fair Stone Partners are allowed to label their consignments with the Fair Stone logo and the order specific barcode, if the order is registered in the Tracing Fair Stone system. Beyond this product specific labelling they can use Fair Stone in their general marketing.

Every Fair Stone Partner may use the logo on products for the first time once the Fair Stone Supplier complies with following preconditions:

Only orders registered with the Tracing Fair Stone software are allowed to be labelled as Fair Stone material (product certification). The software creates a QR-barcode, which is placed on the products next to the Fair Stone logo, and enables the tracing of the products.
